Tommy and Kaelyn | Engagement

This past weekend I was able to be a part of the special moment of two of my dear friends, Tommy and Kaelyn. Earlier that week Tommy approached me and asked if I'd be willing to help him that saturday by taking pictures of his proposal to Kaelyn. I was SUPER excited and of course I said yes!!
Saturday finally arrived and I headed up to Alton Bay to meet Tommy's parents. From there we headed to Meredith to get everything setup and to find the perfect hiding spot.
After waiting... and waiting... and waiting, the lovebirds finally arrived!
Tommy's proposal was so creative and so sweet!
It was the perfect way to spend the day.

The proposal

Kaelyn was so surprised!!

Tommy surprised Kaelyn first with rubber "ducks" (really a panda, elephant, and giraffe) that said: "I love you." He promised he wouldn't tell her he loved her till he proposed. So sweet!!!

Finally!!

Love this couple!

After all of the excitement, they finished their date with some dinner...

and my partners in crime and I rewarded ourselves for a job well done with some ice-cream!

Congratulations Tommy and Kaelyn!!

My Sister, My Friend

This weekend I came home and my sister's room was relatively empty. She moved to Tennessee to continue her schooling.  As I sat in her empty room, I took some time to remember all the fun we had growing up.
As a little girl I looked up to her. Nina was always there to play with me and we had so much fun together. I wanted to be just like her! I even wanted all of her hand-me-downs!! (but by the time I grew into them my style had changed...) I'm thankful she had the heart when she was little to pray for a little sister because, "God knows we don't need anymore boys."

Seven years apart, but still close.

I loved watching my sister cheer! I wanted to be a cheerleader just like her! (that dream never came true...)

Last beach day together... at least for a while
saying: "see ya soon" is much better than saying: "goodbye"

I love you Nina! Have fun on your new adventure in Tennessee!!  :)

Bona Vista

Yesterday my brother said "I do" to Melanie Uy Furnari. :) It was a beautiful day and everything went smoothly. I will miss them as they will be heading to Guam, but I look forward to visiting them soon. ;)

(These pictures were taken the week before the wedding. I'm so glad I was able to photograph them again. :)

Happy Honeymoon!

Garrett #firstclassMBU

Well, My brother has finally graduated college. He has been one of my best friends through the years, and I’m SO proud of all of his accomplishments. He received two awards along with his diploma because of his heart for the Lord and his diligence in his school work throughout his college career.
He is an inspiration to me and I admire him so much!

Megan and Andy

Megan and Andy are two very good friends of mine, so when Megan asked me if I would help her surprise Andy with a little photo shoot I was more than pleased to help (it was quite humorous when Megan went to pick Andy up for their date and he saw me sitting in the back). The day was cool and crisp as we headed to the park, and Megan was prepared to combat the cold with hand warmers and hot cocoa to share (so we all stayed quite warm). After being quite chilled at the park, we went to Megan's home to take a few pictures by the hearth and the Christmas tree. All in all it was a beautiful day, and memories were made.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ashley

This past semester I took a basic photography class at the University I attend. The next assignment was lighting, and I was wracking my brain for what I should shoot. Finally, I decided I would do a portrait with the aid of a friend. Needless to say, this shoot was a little spontaneous.
At lunch, I asked my friend Ashley if she would be willing to help me and she agreed. However, we previously made a deal that we would donate blood together (our school was hosting a blood drive that day). We agreed that we would take the pictures immediately following the drive. After classes, we met up and headed over to the blood drive. We walked in and signed up (in retrospect, we should have scheduled an appointment). We sat and waited….and waited…and waited!! Finally, getting a little impatient as the thought of all the homework that still had to be done crept into our minds, we abandoned the drive and headed to the park to get some pictures Before the sun set.
The timing for the light was just perfect and I was able to complete my project before the sun drifted past the horizon.
Without further ado, here is Ashley.

And in case you were wondering, I passed the assignment and plan to donate blood next time. ;)

Boston

We've journeyed down to Boston a few times this Christmas season. We picked up my brother and his wife from the airport then later in the week we went back down to Boston to visit my uncle, go to the top of the Prudential building, and see the Holiday Pops concert. I love this city and the magnificent way history is intertwined with the contemporary.

Here are a few pictures from our visits to the city.

I love how the modern buildings seem to make hobbit homes out of the old ones!

The Pops were spectacular! (as always)
